In case, you are diagnosed with any of these then make sure that you visit the best Eye Hospital Punjab. It is important to understand that there are different types of surgery from corneal transplant to Lasik Surgery in Punjab. Indeed! The list is endless and depending on what suits your condition the doctor will tell you about the same.

Types of Eye Surgery

Blepharoplasty

For repairing droopy eyelids, the doctor will make a small incision to remove the skin & muscle. Following that the fat is repositioned.

Cataract surgery

A cataract is referred to as the cloudy lens which makes it difficult for the person to see clearly. During the surgery, the doctor will use the tiny tools to take out the cloudy lens and then replace it with the artificial lens.

Corneal transplant

During the corneal transplant, the doctor will make use of the special tool which helps in removing the affected part of the cornea, and instead of it, the healthy donor tissues are used. Doctors might perform a full-thickness corneal transplant or partial thickness transplant.

Glaucoma surgeries

During this surgery, the doctor will put a small tube which is known as a stunt into the white part of the eyes. Through this, the excess fluid will be taken out and this helps in reducing the eye pressure. On the top of your eyes, the doctor will create a small opening and take out the excess fluid.

LASIK (laser in-situ keratomileusis)

During LASIK, the doctor uses a strong light beam to help change the cornea shape and then helps to make the vision better for adults who have astigmatism, nearsightedness, and farsightedness. Patients with thin corneas or dry eyes are the best suitable patients.

Retina surgery

If you have a detached or damaged retina, then three are several procedures and your condition may get better by using different combinations. In addition, the doctor will create a small scar which helps in fixing the hole or tear & helps your retina to come back in its place.

Are there any specifications for anesthesia use for the surgery?

In most cases, the doctor suggests the patient use general anesthesia which helps them to stay comfortable. It is also possible that the doctor will give you a monitored dose of sedation to help you feel relaxed.

How should I prepare for the surgery?

Also, tell the doctor if you are taking any medications at present as some of them might affect your chances of success or can lead to complications.
