Removing the lens of your eye and replacing it with an artificial lens is the process that is known as Cataract Surgery. A Cataract Surgery is done on those whose vision has developed to be cloudy. As the lens of your eyes is usually clear, if it gets cloudy it can majorly affect the vision of your eyesight.

Preparation For Cataract Surgery!

Food and medication: before the surgery of Cataract it is important for you to tell your doctors about your previously prescribed medicine that might be taken as it is mandatory to not take any other medicine before the surgery, your doctor might also advise you to temporarily stop your medication, as it can increase the risk of bleeding during the surgery.

Before the surgery, you would also be told to not consume any food for at least 12 hours to not have any complications.

Limit your action: though you would be allowed to go home the same day, still you won’t be allowed to drive. You should also seek some help around the house, as the doctor would tell you to limit your activities as much as possible.
